Bowls Are The New Plates
Bowls Are The New Plates was created by veteran food blogger Whitney Bond. Hi, that's me! (More about me below ↓)
I love sharing healthy bowl recipes on my site WhitneyBond.com. So much so that I decided to create an entirely new site dedicated just to bowls!
In the summer of 2019, I headed into my kitchen and began creating all the bowl recipes! In Spring 2020, Bowls Are The New Plates launched on the world wide web. The initial launch featured some of my all-time favorite bowls, like Elote Bowls, Charred Cauliflower Bowls and this epic Vegan Cobb Salad recipe!
Why Bowls?
Bowls are the perfect vessel to load up lots of healthy ingredients into one dish for a complete meal. On the site you'll find zoodle bowls, grain bowls, buddha bowls, plant based bowls and low carb bowls. Every recipe on the site is gluten free and most bowls are plant based.
Every bowl recipe on the site also includes notes for how to "Make It Vegan", "Make It Low Carb" "Meal Prep It" or "Add A Protein".
Adding these options to every recipe means that you can include every bowl in your menu, no matter your dietary preferences!

About Whitney Bond
These Bruschetta Grilled Chicken Zoodle Bowls have over 6 MILLION video views on Facebook! And these Thai Peanut Sweet Potato Buddha Bowls have been shared over 50,000 times on Pinterest!
In addition to the blog, I've been fortunate enough to share my recipes on TV stations across the country, in magazines and on podcasts.
When I'm not in the kitchen whipping up new recipes, you'll find me enjoying all of the amazing things that San Diego has to offer. From hanging at the beach and eating delicious tacos, to running half marathons and drinking wine with friends. Life is all about balance, right?
In January 2020, I took on a primarily plant based diet. So, what does that mean? It means, I eat about 80% plant based meals and 20% non plant based meals. I still enjoy the occasional cheese plate, pint of ice cream or steak, but mostly, I eat A TON OF VEGGIES!
Through creating recipes for Bowls Are The New Plates, I've really enjoyed finding new ingredients and methods for creating plant based sauces, salads and bowls! For instance, did you know that soaked cashews make an amazing base for a dairy-free creamy sauce? I seriously can't get enough of this Vegan Chipotle Cream Sauce in my life!
I'm so excited to share all of my healthy kitchen tips and tricks for years to come on Bowls Are The New Plates!
